A World Undone
The land in which I live is quite unique,
Concealed with rain, or hail or sleet, or snow.
Our world may seem extremely dark and bleak,
As winter brings the gusty winds that blow.
The cold upon us shivers do bestow,
That chill our hearts and freeze our sorry feet.
Yet in our hearts is such a burning glow,
That for our country challenge we would meet.
We won't accept defeat, foul cowardice retreat!
Although with joy, my spirit, it does soar,
My view, I feel, I ought to clarify.
This country throws all morals out the door,
As man himself does try to justify,
No place is found for him who would defy.
